“I do not support same sex marriages all the while we're under the auspices of the European court of human rights.”

In an LBC interview, Nigel Farage said he did not support same-sex marriage while the UK remained under the European Court of Human Rights. He argued that European human-rights law could eventually result in churches being compelled to conduct same-sex marriages against the wishes of congregations. When asked what his position would be outside that framework, he said the matter should be decided by the House of Commons.
