Reform UK's media presenter worked for Chinese state media in Xinjiang less than a year before joining the party.

Ray Addison, who presents Reform UK's podcast and social media content, worked as a correspondent for Chinese state-funded broadcaster CGTN in 2025. He presented films from Xinjiang including reports on infrastructure and cotton production. Reform UK told the Guardian it knew about Addison's previous work when it hired him.
