“We’ll appoint hundreds of new peers so that we have a majority in the House of Lords.”

During his Reform UK conference speech, Nigel Farage said that if the House of Lords did not honour a future Reform government’s legislative programme, the party would appoint enough new peers to secure a majority in the chamber. He added that if this proved difficult, Reform would hold a referendum on the Lords’ composition.
